Heap the Honda Children's Book Drive
The 10th annual Heap the Honda Children's Book Drive, sponsored by Kamloops Honda in partnership with the Family Literacy Committee, takes place from January 5th to February 6th . The goals of this project are to increase book ownership in all homes and to encourage a love of reading. Over the past nine years, more than 90,000 children's books have been given away. Beattie will be collecting books here at the school up until January 24th and then volunteers sort and distribute the books to Bright Red Book Shelves at 22 school and community locations. Books will also be given out at the Kamloops ABC Family Literacy Day in January. New and gently used books can be donated to support this event!
